Join Yeovil College, at the forefront of dental education, as a Dental Specialist Lecturer, sharing your industry knowledge and technical expertise with the next generation of dental professionals. With just 40 hours of teaching across the academic year, this is a flexible opportunity that can fit around your existing professional commitments. You could support students across specialist areas including Ceramics, Tooth Anatomy, Implants, Digital Prosthesis, Denture Design, Surveying, Patterning and Composite, as well as delivering theory and practical application within Anatomy and Materials.
Working closely with our experienced Dental teaching team, you’ll deliver engaging practical and theoretical sessions, helping students develop their technical skills, confidence and understanding of industry practice. You’ll remain on our bank of specialist lecturers, with teaching arranged collaboratively as opportunities arise, giving you the flexibility to contribute when your expertise is most needed. GDC registration and a relevant technical background are essential.
What we're looking for:
Relevant experience and expertise in Dental Technology, with knowledge across areas such as crown and bridge, dentures, orthodontics, Anatomy and Materials.
Teaching experience across different levels, with a passion for teaching, learning and supporting high levels of student achievement.
Up-to-date industry knowledge, including digital dental technology and experience with Exocad, 3D scanners, printers and milling machines, or a willingness to develop these skills.
Relevant Dental Technology qualification or degree, GDC registration, GCSE English and Maths (A–C), and a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Strong organisational and teamwork skills, with the ability to maintain effective work systems and collaborate positively with colleagues.

Hourly Salary: £37.16 to £42.40 per hour depending on skills and experience
